Connections

I don’t know about you, but many of the things going on today worry me. Okay, they scare the crap out of me. Our country is turning into something I would like to say I don’t recognize, but unfortunately, I do recognize what’s happening and what it leads to. I’m just not used to seeing it here.
We need to create a new reality for all of us, so in my meditation and spell work, I’ve been focusing on various stones that resonate with me and help me achieve the calm needed to create it. Stones help us connect to the oneness of the universe, and through that, we can achieve the mindset that enables us to make the world we want to live in.
I usually have stones on my altar when I meditate, but I started focusing primarily on them when I was working through Florian’s passing. After a serious loss, I don’t think we can help but consider our connections to the world around us. I like to work with seasonal stones because they help me feel my connections to the earth and the universe more clearly.
While many stones are associated with spring, I’ve been using aquamarine, bloodstone, and amethyst. Not only are they the birthstones for February and March, but they also represent thaw, reawakening, life force, spiritual clarity, and insight, which can enhance our natural connection to the earth and help us ground, so we can see and feel the patterns in the universe.
Stones:
Aquamarine: calm, communication, courage, and emotional clarity, cleanses stagnant energy,
Bloodstone: renewal of life, vitality, grounding new energy during times of change, growth, and courage, and helps us reconnect to the living world, earth’s pulse
Amethyst: peace, clarity during change, and spiritual awareness, integrates insight, and helps balance transition.

A simple meditation I use requires
Aquamarine
Bloodstone
Amethyst
Once all is gathered,
Get comfortable
I usually place the stones in an arc on the altar space (If you choose this layout, I recommend starting with the stone most closely associated with your focus), and as always, choose your layout based on your personal needs and focus.
Light the candle
Sometimes I focus on one aspect of each stone for a few minutes, and sometimes I focus on wrapping myself in all the stones’ energy, but for me, it all comes back to renewal and connection to the universe. You’ll choose what works best for you.
Meditate for as long as you choose (I suggest at least 10 to 15 minutes).
Blow out the candle and close with gratitude.
Spring is a great time to create something new, and we could really use that new reality right now. When we connect with the Universal, our lives begin to open in ways we never thought possible. We see things and feel things differently. You can also find a spell for peace here.
We hear a lot in business about being proactive, and that’s what we want for our lives as well, rather than just being reactive. When we’re not just reacting to what other people do, we realize that how we feel about what we’re going through is far more important than what others think about it. We also realize we have the power to do something about it.
Our connection with the universe and our ability to be at peace with it and with ourselves determine our ability to create what we choose in our lives. When we find peace within ourselves, we can take the time to find our calling rather than just working.
The world needs that kind of energy working in it. The stones don’t generally create our connections to the universe, but they can reveal them. Opportunities arise through our connections with our bodies, our psyches, and _the universal energy around us. How we make and take care of those connections will determine how many opportunities come our way, how we can respond to them, and ultimately, our ability to create our new reality.
